3D Modelling - Coffee cup

To achieve this, I used the B-Spline tool, I drew the shape of what I wanted the shape of the cup to look like. I put the points on and it made it into a curve as I plotted the points, I could always change this as I had joined all the points up. After I'd done my points I did a LatheNURBS so it mirrored the points on the other side and it would look like a cup when I switched to the Perspective view.

This is what LatheNURBS looks like in Perspective view.
This shows the steps of what I have done in the process of creating my coffee cup.

Then to add the handle of the mug I went back to the front view. I added a circle from the line menu, the same menu I selected the B-Spline line from in the first step. After I had drawn the handle with the B-Spline tool, I did a SweepNURBS to smooth over the points.
The above picture shows what the handle looks like in Front view.

This is what the finished product looks like, with the handle added. As you can see its starting to look like an actual cup.

3D Modelling - Text

This is the text before I did anything to it. Instead of having it on the traditional new layout, I changed it to the Classic View, to get this I went onto the following settings:
To access this menu I went onto: Edit - Preferences - Common - Scheme

This is what the text looked like after I had ExtrudedNURBS, as you can see it looks different from the original text, as it looks 3D in comparison to the first.
I then had to add a floor to the design to make it look more appealing when it gets to the end product.

This is what it looks like with the floor and text together, this is before I added the material and the lighting.

These two images are the same, they are just showing the front and top view of the text.
To create a new material for the floor and the text, I did the following steps:
As you can see I have only changed the Colour settings and the Specular settings.

And then to add the colour to the floor and the reflection I did the following steps:

As you can see, I changed the Colour, Diffusion, Reflection and Specular settings, this is so I got a smooth background/floor when I finished it and that it would look shiny and the text would be reflected against it.

FINISHED PRODUCT - This is the finished product with the material on the floor and the text and also with the added lighting to create, as you can see it looks very professional, even if it does say Chameleon.

3D Modelling - Pillars

Firstly to make the bottom square I make a cube with the measurements: X - 200m, Y - 45m and Z - 200 and this created the bottom cube. I then created the smaller cube by duplicating the bottom square and changing the measurements to: X -150m, Y - 45, Z - 150.

To create pillar I used a cogwheel shape and used the measurements: Teeth - 20m, inner radius - 57m, middle radius - 58m, outer radius - 60m and the bevel to 50%.

After I had done this I created an Extrude NURBs which allowed me to change the shape into a 3D shape. I then duplicated the bottom two cubes, rotated them so they were upside down and placed them on top.

After this I duplicated the finished pillar 8 times so I would be able to create a temple.
